A reader emailed me to ask how much a residential real estate conveyancer can earn in Vancouver, BC, as she is considering applying for a conveyancer's position in a law office.

In Canada, a conveyancer is a legal clerk or a paralegal who assists lawyers in all aspects of conveying real estate. A conveyancer is generally not a lawyer.

I know many lawyers, paralegals and legal clerks who work in the field of residential real estate conveyancing in Vancouver. Based on the information that I currently have in 2018, the salary of a conveyancer in Vancouver is usually in the range of $50,000 to $70,000 CAD per year. Some top-notch conveyancers can even make $90,000 CAD per year. In addition to salaries, most conveyancers also receive  extended health and dental health plans and 4-6 weeks of paid vacation time.
